LABS Group x Arena Esports Hotel partner with My Square Metre on Cambodia Esports hotel expansion plan

Following the latest partnership with Arena Esports Hotel, LABS Group is pleased to announce a new joint venture with My Square Metre (MSQM), on the expansion of Esports hotels in Cambodia. My Square Metre is an emerging Real Estate Developer, who has a well-established portfolio of Residential, Commercial, Hospitality and Industrial in Asia. Together we plan to build 50 Esports hotels in 3 years as part of the expansion plan in South East Asia.

This exciting project is located in the central district of Cambodia, which Kelvin Chua, CIO of My Square Metre, described as a vibrant place flooded with youths and tourists all year round. It only takes 10 minutes to go from the hotel to the famous BKK1; 15 minutes to go to the riverside.

“We see this Cambodia Esports Hotel as the first of many more to come in Cambodia. With the emergence of NFTs and GameFi, we see this big trend and the Arena Esports Hotels are well-positioned to support the growth, and form an integral pillar for the blockchain gaming ecosystem. Cambodia is a land of youths and gamers — I think our project can raise crypto-literacy and hopefully make a social impact to the society,” said Chua with an open arm.

The aggressive expansion plan rides on the innovative Play to Earn trend, and helps to strengthen the concept of Esports X Blockchain. As one of the digitalized real estate investment ecosystems, LABS Group recently has dabbled in the Esports hotel business. “We have deep trust in Esports 3.0. Leveraging on the local network and strong real estate profile our partners have, we have the ambition to have 50 hotels in 3 years,” Yuen Wong, CEO of LABS Group explained.

The pending question is how this project will be beneficial to the LABS’ ecosystem. Yuen said the project will increase the income of the LAB’s ecosystem, which will be redistributed to the LABS token holders.

Through this partnership, Arena LABS Group Holdings (LABS Group x Arena Esports Hotel), an international Co-living operator which specialises in Esports and Blockchain, will be in charge of operating the hotel, and bringing the Esports concept to Cambodia. The Group will also be responsible for the interior design of the hotel, transforming it into a running business. Meanwhile, My Square Metre, the awarded real estate developer in master planning, land development, and project execution, will help to build the hotel.

What’s next? LABS Group believes that this partnership will bring us to a new arena. Yuen is positive on how both teams can work closely together with new ideas and win big in Southeast Asia; While MSQM is starting to look at potential sites for the second and third Esports hotel in the country. Chua thought that there is great synergy between both groups, which is always the success formula for a strong long-term venture and building a business legacy in Cambodia.
